Programs & Events
Daffron Elementary PTA provides many fun activities throughout the year. The following are some that we offer. If you are interested in helping, you can sign up by selecting the appropriate options on your volunteer form.
After-School Clubs and Enrichment
After-school enrichment programs such as art, drama, and yoga, and service programs such as Student Council.
Bluebonnet Breakfast
Students who read at least five Bluebonnet books are invited to the Bluebonnet Breakfast in January, and they are able to vote on their favorite book.
Book Fair
Each year the Daffron PTA provides 2-3 Scholastic Book Fairs. These are great opportunities for the children to expand their library.
Cultural Diversity
The cultural diversity program may consist of either a day program or a night program (or both). The day program allows the students to travel to different countries and learn about the culture. The night program includes country-based performances and an international fashion parade.
End-of-Year Picnic
Join us for a night of fun as we wrap up the end of the school year.
Field Day
Children participate in outdoor games, water activities, and fun. PTA volunteers work with P.E. staff in planning, preparing, and assisting on Field Day.
Field Trips
Each grade will have at least one offsite field trip to educational locations such as the Dallas Zoo, Perot Museum, Heritage Museum etc.

Meet and Greet Picnic
Join us and meet other Daffron families at our PTA funded picnic in September.
Parent Education
A program just for the parents! Meetings and events educating parents on timely and relevant topics.
Red Ribbon Week
The PTA works closely with the school counselor to educate the students on drug prevention techniques.
Reflections
Students can create and submit works of art in six categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts.
Senior Reception and Scholarship
The Daffron PTA honors the graduating seniors who attended Daffron with a reception and awards one scholarship to an eligible senior graduating from PISD who attended Daffron.
Spring Social and Silent Auction
This is a community fundraising event providing activities for children, games, prizes, snacks, and an auction featuring local treasures.
